Specimen Grid
Statement
Wildflowers pinned against cranberry matte like evidence collected from a crime scene of spring. Each stem carries its own shadow, dark witnesses pressed flat against the backdrop of institutional pink. Daisies hold their ground next to thistle heads and unopened tulips, all reduced to the same clinical distance from earth. The arrangement speaks in the language of botanical surveys, but something wilder bleeds through the orderly spacing. What remains when you strip the meadow down to its constituent parts and demand they perform their colors on command.
