Barcode Human
Statement
A face dissolves into the machine language of vertical black and white bars, caught mid-erasure between person and pattern. The figure does not hide behind the stripes. The stripes consume it, scanning it, reducing biography to signal. You recognize a jaw, a brow, the shape of someone who was here, and then the grid reasserts itself and the recognition collapses. This is what surveillance feels like from the inside: not watched, but processed. Identity as inventory.
