Blunt Ceremony
A brass-jacketed bullet tears through a peony mid-bloom, caught in the millisecond before everything is lost. Cream petals the color of aged ivory hold their form on the left while crimson-magenta blooms and shredded blush-pink confetti scatter rightward into void. The image does not mourn violence or celebrate flowers. It holds both truths at the same time, without flinching. Some things only reveal their full architecture in the moment they are destroyed.
