Bloom Ballistic becomes the anchor.
A rifle cartridge, brass-jacketed and mid-flight, tears through a deep carmine peony at the exact moment of rupture, petals flung back like a confession. Cream and blush peonies cluster below, intact, absurdly lush against the void of a near-black ground. The violence is precise. The flowers are not symbolic stand-ins; they are genuinely, almost offensively alive. This image holds two incompatible truths in the same frame and refuses to resolve them, because that refusal is exactly the point. Some things are destroyed most completely at their peak.
