Golden Rhapsody keeps the eye honest.
A sulfur-yellow canary commands the center like something that earned its place there, flanked by a carmine-red finch mid-call and two fawn-brown sparrows gazing upward with the particular hunger of those still becoming. Magenta hibiscus blooms press in from every edge, rendered with the obsessive precision of a Victorian field plate, while dusty rose hydrangea clusters push through dark olive foliage. The fuchsia background refuses to recede, turning natural history illustration into something raw and declarative. Every bird in this image knows exactly what it is worth, and none of them agree.
