Arid Buoyancy
Someone potted a desert and set it adrift on the ocean, and the strangeness of that decision refuses to resolve itself. The saguaro stands rigid in terracotta while magenta cloud bands bleed across a bruised indigo sky, its reflection breaking apart in the swell. Mountains crouch on the horizon like witnesses who know better than to intervene. Nothing about this belongs together, yet the shadow it casts across the water insists otherwise. Displacement painted with total conviction.
