The collection statement

A collection built from colour, room, and recurrence.

Works inside the provenance

The works speak as one collection.

State Dinner

The bow tie is knotted right. The suit is pressed. Everything about the posture says power, ceremony, control, until the noodles hit and gravity takes the rest. Head tilted back, mouth open to the pink like it's a stage light, he becomes something before the manners get taught: a body feeding itself, unguarded, undone by starch and appetite. The bowl's dried blood red speckle is the only thing still composed. Authority looks different mid swallow.

Cabinet Crossing

Nine figures crowd a battered runabout, dressed like they walked out of a policy briefing and into open water. The horizon behind them bleeds a bruised rose, brushstrokes dragged raw and unfinished, while the sea below stays flat matte black. Suits do not save you from water. Ties do not steer a boat. Something about power looking exactly this ridiculous when the ground disappears. Whoever they are, they all face the same direction, waiting for land that might not exist.

Ocular Redaction

Six pairs of eyes surface through bands of chalk white and blush pink, laid down in thick dragged strokes, as if someone erased every mouth, nose, cheekbone this face once had. Only the gaze survives the cut. Dried blood pools in the inner corners, oxidized rose bruises the lids, each row watching the one below like a jury sworn twice. It reads like a redacted transcript where testimony was the only part left standing.

Referee Rounds

Three men stand on the roof of a stripped down sedan, rifles cracked open toward a sky the color of bruised rose stucco. One wears a referee's stripes, calling nothing, blowing no whistle, complicit by costume alone. Blood blooms across a raised palm in ochre red, the only wet color in a field of dry impasto strokes. This is a photograph of celebration mistaken for war, or war mistaken for celebration, and nobody in the frame seems to know which. Judgment stands right there in black and white stripes and still says nothing.

Print Run

Nine skulls repeat across bubblegum pink like stock on a shelf, each jaw carved with the same clinical patience, each socket painted twice as deep as it needs to be. The bottom row sinks into a ragged black collar, teeth grinning out of the dark like something clocking out early. Painted nine times over with identical care, death loses its singularity here and gets a production line instead. Memento mori has a supply chain now, and business is good.

Blind Mandate

Red and white bars bleed like flag remnants behind a rider who cannot see her own aim. Blindfold cinched tight, lips the color of warning, hand steady on a gold revolver pressed against the horse's skull. This is authority stripped of its metaphor and made literal, power that moves forward without ever checking what it's pointed at. Justice always claimed to be blind. Nobody said armed.

Fur Doctrine

Amber eyes do the math before you finish the thought. That gold pistol is a toy, sure, but the gloved grip and the dead calm stare do not care what the label says. Wrapped in blush fur against a burnt sienna wall, this cat has the posture of someone who has already read the room and found it wanting. Power dressed up in pink is still power, and it never once blinks first.

Sleeper Cell

Ears sharpened into rabbit points, eyes the color of dried mustard, this creature wears the keffiyeh like inheritance rather than costume. The rifle sits too naturally in that paw, stock worn smooth by handling that predates the cat entirely. Bubblegum pink behind it refuses to let the image rest easy, turning menace into something closer to satire, or maybe satire into something closer to menace. Domestication never looked so loaded. Every household pet is one costume change from combatant.

Wax Mandate

Powder pink walls do nothing to soften what drips down that famous scowl. Wax colored tears pool at the collar, thick as candle drip, staged like grief performed for cameras that never stopped rolling. The tuxedo stays crisp, the bow tie holds its shape, but the face gives way to something theatrical, something rehearsed. Authority does not cry. It leaks.

Barrel Bloom

A monarch balances on gun metal like it forgot what steel is for. Black lacquered nails wrap the grip with the same care someone might braid a child's hair, and beneath the knuckles a quilt of roses insists on being pretty anyway. Painted in dried-blood pinks and bone gold, the composition refuses to pick a side between bouquet and ballistics. Every American contradiction sits in one closed fist. The safety was never really on.

Witness Protocol

One eye survives the wreckage, lashes drawn like barbed wire, staring out from a pile of bandaged limbs and blunt paint strokes. The rest of the body got redacted into black smears and gauze white, but the eye stayed sharp, stayed open, refused the blur everything around it fell into. Coral pink and navy blue read like bruising trying to pass as decoration. Someone survived something here and left the receipt in ink. The body forgets. The eye keeps the file open.

Fringe Politics

Two eyes hold the frame like a loaded question, doing all the talking a bandana refuses to let through. Straw brim burns sun bleached wheat against a background the color of dried terracotta, its woven band dark as spent coffee grounds. Coral serape wraps tight across the jaw, white fringe hanging down like unfinished sentences nobody dares finish out loud. Concealment becomes the whole argument. Every stitch here reads as a stance, not a costume.
