Storm Tissue
Clouds pile like torn muscle against a cobalt so deep it reads as bruise light. Every ridge carries thread work, hand stitched almost, pink fraying into maroon where the sun refuses to show itself. Below, a mountain range goes black, swallowed whole, a silhouette holding its breath under all that weight. The sky does not comfort here. It presses down, dense and fibrous, until the horizon becomes something you feel in your ribs.
