Resonance II
A lone figure sits cross-legged on a dark circular plinth, back turned to us, facing something that has no name. The vortex behind him pulls cadmium yellow through saturated crimson into deep viridian, a chromatic tunnel that recedes not outward but inward, into whatever a person becomes when they stop running. Scattered across the spiral like broken radio signals, dots of coral, ivory, and electric blue hold their ground against the spin. He is not meditating. He is reckoning. You cannot look at this for long without asking what you have been avoiding.
