Statement

From the Electric Flora Series

Against an oceanic field of pure ultramarine, a singular amethyst bloom commands the composition's gravitational center while verdant satellites orbit in calculated suspension. The work orchestrates tension between botanical familiarity and synthetic impossibility — each petal rendered in microscopic pointillist detail that dissolves into pure color sensation at proximity. Cast shadows anchor these floating forms in space, creating a subtle dimensionality that refuses easy categorization.

The surface reveals an obsessive devotion to texture: thousands of minute dots build into velvet-rich purples that shift from deep aubergine to lavender luminescence, while the stamens pulse with cadmium yellow intensity. Emerald blooms shimmer with an almost reptilian skin texture, their organic curves made hyperreal through digital precision. The ultramarine ground breathes with subtle gradations, creating atmospheric depth that suggests infinite space rather than flat decoration.

This is contemporary maximalism distilled to essential elements — color, form, and the psychology of desire. The work channels both Warhol's pop sensibilities and the meticulous craft traditions of botanical illustration, creating something that feels simultaneously artificial and more real than reality. It transforms any space into a site of chromatic meditation, demanding nothing less than complete visual surrender.
