Burgundy Nocturne gives the room an unreliable narrator.
Every bloom here exists in a kind of confrontation, pressed against a background of dried-blood burgundy that refuses to recede. Blush peonies and coral hollyhocks hold their ground beside a single ivory trumpet lily that rises above everything like an argument nobody asked for. The amber-yolk daisies interrupt the reds without apology. This is not a garden at rest. It is a garden at maximum pressure, every species insisting on itself simultaneously, the foliage so deeply hunter-green it reads almost black. Old master technique, zero old master submission.
