The Paper Boat
Statement
The image serves as a biting critique of privilege in the face of disaster. We are standing on the promenade of the elite, where the apocalypse is not a threat, but a view. The storm outside ,be it climate collapse, social upheaval, or war, framed by elegant arches, turning the end of the someone's world into cinema. It suggests that for the lucky few, the ship doesn't need to stop sinking for the amenities to remain comfortable, they will simply admire the height of the waves until the water finally breaches the hull.
