Screens emit light; printed surfaces reflect it. Paper, canvas, ink, glazing, and the light in your room can make colour and contrast appear slightly different from a backlit display. The artwork and room previews shown here are digital renderings for comparing composition and scale. They are not photographs of finished prints.

Rooftop Vespers
Why this work / Rooftop Vespers

Rooftop Vespers

The cat sits like it owns the parish, tabby coat catching the same cobalt spill that drenches the belfry pink into something closer to flesh than stone. Somewhere below a man drinks alone in a doorway lit dried-blood red, unaware he is being watched from two directions. Wires cross the sky in a net nobody asked for, catching stars instead of signal. Midnight in this town runs on rooftops and small witnesses, not clocks.

Spatial Intelligence

See what happens around it

Compare the work with the furniture, then notice the wall around it. These scenes illustrate placement; use the measured view above and your own wall measurements to check fit.

In the room / What to look for

The artwork image is vertical. Try it within a narrow wall interval or above a compact piece of furniture; leave enough space for its height to read. Available print proportions depend on the selected variant.

From the doorway, notice the strongest light and dark areas. From your usual seat, notice the detail. Both views are part of the decision.

Collection context

Continue inside Elsewhere

ELSEWHERE explores the unreliable geography of memory. The collection began with personal travel recollections recorded as loose notes rather than photographs. Fragments of architecture, colour, weather, landscape and atmosphere were later interpreted through generative systems and shaped through repeated direction and selection....
