Screens emit light; printed surfaces reflect it. Paper, canvas, ink, glazing, and the light in your room can make colour and contrast appear slightly different from a backlit display. The artwork and room previews shown here are digital renderings for comparing composition and scale. They are not photographs of finished prints.

Why this work / Merge Hostile

Merge Hostile

Four cats crammed into a sedan's cobalt interior claw the upholstery and dig into the wheel like they've decided driving is a hostage situation. One snarls backward through the rear window while brake lights streak past in red tracer fire, and the rest just glare forward with the flat, done stare every commuter recognizes at hour one of standstill traffic. Nothing here is cute. This is four small bodies running on one shared nervous system, looking for an exit no door will give them.

Spatial Intelligence

See what happens around it

Compare the work with the furniture, then notice the wall around it. These scenes illustrate placement; use the measured view above and your own wall measurements to check fit.

In the room / What to look for

The artwork image is vertical. Try it within a narrow wall interval or above a compact piece of furniture; leave enough space for its height to read. Available print proportions depend on the selected variant.

From the doorway, notice the strongest light and dark areas. From your usual seat, notice the detail. Both views are part of the decision.

Collection context

Continue inside Elsewhere

ELSEWHERE explores the unreliable geography of memory. The collection began with personal travel recollections recorded as loose notes rather than photographs. Fragments of architecture, colour, weather, landscape and atmosphere were later interpreted through generative systems and shaped through repeated direction and selection....
