Screens emit light; printed surfaces reflect it. Paper, canvas, ink, glazing, and the light in your room can make colour and contrast appear slightly different from a backlit display. The artwork and room previews shown here are digital renderings for comparing composition and scale. They are not photographs of finished prints.

Horn Doctrine
Why this work / Horn Doctrine

Horn Doctrine

Teeth bared mid-charge, this thing owns the mountain behind it, painted the color of a bruise that never healed right. The pink lightning cracks the sky like the artist got tired of subtlety halfway through and just let the crayon box win. Every hair on that mane looks hand fought, ink stroke by ink stroke, until the beast feels less drawn and more summoned. You do not hang this to relax. You hang it to remember what it feels like to want to survive something.

Spatial Intelligence

See what happens around it

Compare the work with the furniture, then notice the wall around it. These scenes illustrate placement; use the measured view above and your own wall measurements to check fit.

In the room / What to look for

The artwork image is vertical. Try it within a narrow wall interval or above a compact piece of furniture; leave enough space for its height to read. Available print proportions depend on the selected variant.

From the doorway, notice the strongest light and dark areas. From your usual seat, notice the detail. Both views are part of the decision.

Collection context

Continue inside Elsewhere

ELSEWHERE explores the unreliable geography of memory. The collection began with personal travel recollections recorded as loose notes rather than photographs. Fragments of architecture, colour, weather, landscape and atmosphere were later interpreted through generative systems and shaped through repeated direction and selection....
