Screens emit light; printed surfaces reflect it. Paper, canvas, ink, glazing, and the light in your room can make colour and contrast appear slightly different from a backlit display. The artwork and room previews shown here are digital renderings for comparing composition and scale. They are not photographs of finished prints.

Armchair Doctrine
Somebody's good furniture got sent to sea and lit on fire, and it is holding its posture the entire time. The tufted back stays upright, buttons intact, arms rolled and proper, while flame eats the crown and the ocean tries to swallow the legs. Cobalt water breaks white against pink upholstery that refuses to look alarmed. It reads like every calm you have faked while everything under you gave out. Dignity, it turns out, is just furniture that never learned it was allowed to sink.

See what happens around it
Compare the work with the furniture, then notice the wall around it. These scenes illustrate placement; use the measured view above and your own wall measurements to check fit.
In the room / What to look for
The artwork image is vertical. Try it within a narrow wall interval or above a compact piece of furniture; leave enough space for its height to read. Available print proportions depend on the selected variant.
From the doorway, notice the strongest light and dark areas. From your usual seat, notice the detail. Both views are part of the decision.

Fragments of architecture, colour, weather, landscape and atmosphere were later interpreted through generative systems and shaped through repeated direction and selection....
