Cranebreak
Statement
Two cranes cut across a dusted rose sky, their wings threaded with antique gold and flushed with hot pink, alive in a way that embroidery always pretends to be. Below them, jade-green waves coil and surge in the language of Japanese woodblock tradition, their foam breaking into blush curls that mirror the birds above. Gold filament runs through every swell like current made visible. This is departure rendered as ceremony, two creatures choosing open water over safe shore, and the sea rising not to swallow them but to witness.
